Fairytale Wedding at The Toledo Zoo

She had dreamed of this day FOREVER. The day when she would marry her “prince”! What a memorable occasion for Lexie and Drew’s fairytale wedding at The Toledo Zoo.

Lexie and Drew met through a mutual friend who would later become their bridesmaid. ☺️ They have enjoyed going to movies, shopping, and visiting local parks together. On the second anniversary after meeting, Drew took Lexie on a scavenger hunt through Bowling Green, Ohio. It was on that day that he proposed, and they began making plans for their fairytale wedding!

One thing to know about Lexie and Drew is that they are big fans of all things Disney™️! Lexie knew that she wanted to incorporate details for a Cinderella fairytale wedding at The Toledo Zoo. The bridesmaids wore dusty blue dresses reminiscent of Cinderella’s gown, and their wedding program mimicked the Disney™️ Guide Map, leading guests on a fantastic adventure throughout the day! From an African Safari experience of hand-feeding live giraffes to carousals and Disney™️ attraction themed table assignments, it was certainly a thoughtful day full of unique details!

Amidst all the sparkle (aka “fairy dust”✨), there were plenty of sentimental moments observed … especially by family. One particular moment which stood out was during a toast by the Father of the Groom. He encouraged the newlyweds to take a moment to soak it all in – to look in with intentional perspective on the celebration of their wedding day. Lexie and Drew did just that, and I think they realized that they were truly living their fairytale. 💙
