Tori and Trent’s Snowy Winter Engagement Session at the Toledo Museum of Art

February 8, 2020

DREAMY. 🥰

That is how I would describe Tori and Trent’s engagement session. This was not the first time I’ve photographed the couple … but it’s safe to say they make it look EASY.

When they first told me that they wanted an “elegant” feel to their engagement session, I was sold. Give me all the pretty dresses and classy suits.

Then entered her dream of capturing their engagement photos in the snow. Tori had been inspired by other winter engagement photos, and we were watching the forecast closely for quite a few weeks. We weren’t sure how this was going to work out as snow had been scarce most of the winter season. But, lo and behold … not only was there snow on the ground the day of their session, there was also a surprise snow squall just as we started to photograph! The result was MAGICAL! A wardrobe change to capture more of their casual style made the session complete, and I was thrilled to offer a lovely final gallery of images.

Tori and Trent are not alone in their discussions about how the current public health crisis related to COVID-19 will impact their late-spring wedding day. Like many ASP couples, we are staying in contact with one another.

No matter what, the year of their wedding will be a memorable one. I can’t wait to be there to share in their special day!

Selecting Amy Simkus as our photographer was honestly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! She is very easy to work and communicate with. While taking pictures, she is a such a hype woman!!
