Long-Awaited Celebration at The Legacy by Arthur Hills in Ottawa Lake, Michigan

After his sunset proposal in Hawaii, Anney and Trey made plans for an intimate wedding ceremony in Florida. The pandemic delayed their reception, but life continued in the meantime before their long-awaited celebration at The Legacy by Arthur Hills in Ottawa Lake, Michigan.

They met through a mutual friend and had spent many happy years together before Trey “finally” proposed. ☺️ (Just teasing!) It was always the plan for Anney and Trey to have their dream wedding ceremony among the live oak trees in Florida. And they did just that … ON SCHEDULE! They were among their close family, and the setting was gorgeous! They also wanted to celebrate their marriage with those they loved back home in Michigan a few days later. But, COVID-19 precautions meant that their celebration was pushed back almost a year to the day.

There were most certainly some ups and downs during the period of time between their Florida wedding ceremony and their reception. Trey’s dad was welcomed into Heaven shortly after their wedding. But, perhaps in a bittersweet passing of souls, the newlyweds welcomed their baby daughter into the world in June 2021. What a blessing she is to their whole family!

When they finally were able to come together for their long-awaited celebration at The Legacy by Arthur Hills in Ottawa Lake, Michigan, they were ready to enjoy the party! After the couple explored the beautiful grounds for photos, they were welcomed by cheers from their guests, toasts by their family, and great food and atmosphere by the venue. The tables were adorned with arrangements of her favorite summer flowers, and there was dancing through the evening!

Anney and Trey are such a fun-loving, sweet couple. They have a great sense of humor … and you will see that shine through in some of the images below. 😂 I know their marriage will be filled with love and laughter, and they are wished nothing but the best!
