Engagement Session at Maumee Bay State Park

There are moments in this job that are truly inspiring. One of those moments was getting to photograph Regan and Ben’s engagement session at Maumee Bay State Park.

Regan is a fellow wedding vendor, an incredibly talented videographer, and one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. I first met her a few years ago while working together at a wedding, and we’ve shared such a wonderful connection ever since. There’s nothing like working with someone who brings so much heart and passion to what they do, and that’s exactly who Regan is.

To now be the one capturing her love story with Ben, her high school sweetheart and perfect match, was truly an honor. From the very beginning, Regan had a clear vision for their engagement photos: a peaceful, beach hillside at sunset. She wanted it to feel romantic, organic, and timeless, and we had the perfect night to bring her vision to life for their engagement session at Maumee Bay State Park.

We carefully designed the entire session around her dream. From selecting the perfect location and golden light, to planning outfits that felt stylish while comfortable, every detail was chosen with intention. As the sun dipped below the horizon and the light wrapped around them, it felt like we had stepped into the exact scene she had imagined.

She arrived to the session absolutely glowing … thanks in part to professional hair and makeup by Hannah Jade Beauty that made her feel as radiant on the outside as she is within. It was so important to me that Regan felt flattered, celebrated, and truly seen. Watching the way Ben looked at her—with such genuine admiration—was the perfect reminder of what this work is really about: love, connection, and capturing what matters most.

Being asked to document this milestone for a fellow creative in the wedding industry is never something I take lightly. It’s humbling, meaningful, and fills me with so much gratitude. I feel incredibly lucky to know these two and to walk alongside them in this exciting chapter of their lives.
