Kara and Andy’s Floral-Inspired Wedding at The Legacy in Ottawa Lake, Michigan

Oh, Kara and Andy… how I love you so!!! These two met at work years ago, and their strong friendship led to a romantic connection. At the end of the day, they are best friends who fell in love. On their beautiful wedding day, they stood before their family and friends to commit fully to one another through marriage.  

The Legacy By Arthur Hills Golf Club in Ottawa Lake, Michigan was the perfect venue. Lovely florals lined the aisle leading to a quaint, white outdoor chapel. White chairs on the carefully manicured green lawn complemented the rich florals showcased in the ladies’ bouquets and on the chapel. The floral beauty continued in the centerpieces adorning the tables in the banquet hall. The florals, designed by the couple’s talented brother-in-law, included many which were handpicked specially for them from his backyard garden. Perhaps the most stunning floral influence was in the bridesmaids’ unique navy floral printed gowns which flowed in the light summer breeze. GORGEOUS.

Of utmost importance to this couple was the inclusion of their children in their special day. The officiant asked their two boys if they were in agreement with the marriage, and thankfully both agreed. I must say … they really looked grown up in their tuxedos, didn’t they??

Having met this couple through a friend, I feel blessed to know that I will have an opportunity to connect with these sweet souls again. To know them is to love them. May you both find continued happiness in your life together. Smile often. Laugh frequently. Love one another with grace and understanding. Many congratulations as your story continues!
