Rhea and Nick’s Lake Erie Wedding in Port Clinton, Ohio

June 22, 2019

Rhea and Nick have spent quite a bit of time together along the shores of Lake Erie in Port Clinton, Ohio. Their family has a lake cottage very close to Camp Perry, an Army and Air National Guard base. In fact, the highly recognizable water tower on base is a landmark which elicits many happy memories for the couple. It only seemed fitting that they plan they wedding celebration at that special venue.

It was a warm, sunny day in Northwest Ohio. There was a lovely light breeze with the scent of the beach in the air. Rhea and her bride squad gathered at a newly built 3-bedroom cottage near the water. Nick would meet her there for their First Look shortly before the ceremony. The ceremony was officiated by a friend who also served as Best Man … and he was sure to add his own personal stories before they said their vows.  🙂

Following the ceremony, the bridal party gathered for some formal portraits … and some special guests joined them, as well – the couple’s three dogs!  Rhea and Nick are animal lovers, so they were sure to get some “family” photos with their littles … including a little puppy who was quite fond of the groom’s boutonniere. In one of my favorite choices of fashions for bridesmaids, each wore a floor-length gown in varying shades of blush and hints of bling, complimented by florals created by the mother of the groom. The gentleman wore classic white button-downs with long neck ties in varied shades of gray.

The reception was held at the Camp Perry Clubhouse, with a picturesque view of Lake Erie and a most gorgeous sunset! Naturally, this was a perfect opportunity to capture some lovely images of the couple along the water as the sun was going down. After a fully catered feast, guests dined on cake for dessert which was adorned with an heirloom topper.

Rhea and Nick … many congratulations on the start of your life together! What a glorious celebration!
