Catawba Island Club Wedding with Lake Erie Sunset View

The Lake Erie shore attracts visitors from around the world with its unique opportunities for fishing, birding, and exploring the lovely natural landscape. This includes Catawba Island, Ohio – known for its breathtaking lake views, parks, boating, and dining experiences. It was no question for Beth and Andy to select the luxurious Catawba Island Club for their wedding with a Lake Erie sunset view.
Beth and Andy first met in 1999 at Ohio University. At that time, they were just friends. Years went by, and by happenstance the couple reconnected in 2017 through an online dating website and became exclusive. I would say this is a great testimony to that application! Fast forward a couple years to an evening when Beth was making dinner at home. She turned around to find Andy down on one knee with a ring! Needless to say, the rest is history.
It was important to Beth and Andy to share their special day with their closest friends and family. Their bridal party was comprised of family – siblings, children, and nieces. The parents of the bride read a special message to their daughter which brought both laughter and tears of joy, and the groom was surprised with a special sand ceremony not only uniting the couple, but also his two boys as they became a family. There was plenty of dancing … and in keeping with tradition, the bride’s family joined in a circle to show off some pretty impressive moves!
Beth and Andy’s celebration was simply beautiful. But, at the end of the day, what mattered most was that this couple was able to complete another chapter of their love story … one 20+ years in the making. 💜 Can’t wait to hear what the next chapter will bring!
