Gideon Owen Wine Company Wedding

A long layover at a Philadelphia airport changed their lives forever. Their love story brought the couple and their closest family and friends to Catawba Island, Ohio for their historic Gideon Owen Wine Company Wedding.

Kelsey and Tyler met while attending Bowling Green State University in 2014. Tyler played football for the Falcons, and Kelsey was completing her degree in education. Kelsey first caught Tyler’s eye on her birthday when she was out celebrating with friends. Tyler introduced himself to Kelsey and preceded to get her phone number. From there, they spent some time together and began to show interest in one another. Unfortunately, Tyler was graduating and moving back to Pennsylvania and Kelsey lived in Ohio. They decided to remain friends and keep in contact through social media.

Many years later, after starting to talk again, their paths crossed when Kelsey was flying home from a trip visiting her best friend, Brooke. Although they were both nervous, their friends convinced them to finally meet up after years of not seeing each other. From there, they began a long distance relationship, visiting each other at least once a month. Kelsey and Tyler cherished the time spent together and always made the most of it.

Finally, after dating long distance for a year and a half, Kelsey moved to Pennsylvania last July. One evening at home, Kelsey thought she was coming home after a long day of work, but instead, she walked into their kitchen filled with roses and champagne. Tyler proposed in December 2022. It was the best surprise for her, and there were a lot of tears. Needless to say, Kelsey said “yes!”

Kelsey and Tyler immediately began planning for their Gideon Owen Wine Company wedding. I had met Kelsey in the past and was honored that she had thought of me to photograph her and Tyler’s wedding. She is a STUNNING beauty … but has a shining personality to match. Tyler is kind and fun, and he greets everyone with a great big hug. It’s no wonder everyone loves them – which is also the reason for the numerous people who stood alongside of them in their wedding party! ☺️ What a fun (and beautiful) group!

Kelsey’s bridesmaids were all dressed in matching white satin gowns while Tyler’s groomsmen rocked black tuxedos with a classic bow tie and velvet loafers. They were all looking sharp!

It is clear that Kelsey and Tyler are not only husband and wife, but they are best friends. They genuinely enjoy each other’ s company and love making new memories together.
