Church Wedding with Gideon Owen Reception

October 21, 2023

No detail was forgotten with the help of wedding planner, Bee for the Day, at Meghan and Zach’s church wedding with Gideon Owen reception.

Life looked different in 2020 in the height of the global pandemic. It changed so much socially, and certainly for people hoping to connect with their life partner. It was during this time that Meghan and Zach had a chance meeting through an online dating app.

They had their first date at an art museum and quickly realized neither them had very much interest in art. They sat down on the nearest bench and talked about their lives. They both were college athletes and found that they shared a lot of the same values. On that first date, they talked for hours until the museum kicked them out. They proceeded to have dessert before dinner … a tradition they uphold to this day.

Since then, Meghan and Zach have been inseparable. They enjoy spending time together playing tennis, going for long walks, visiting with family and friends, jet-skiing in the summertime, and exploring new restaurants.

In August 2022, Meghan’s family embarked on their annual vacation to Fripp Island, South Carolina. Zach was invited to join them on the trip, and he had something special planned. Zach added one more reason why Fripp Island is Meghan’s favorite place on Earth. While on the pristine, oceanfront beach, he got down on one knee to propose, and Meghan said “yes!”.

Wedding planning started fairly quickly, and they set a wedding date just more than a year ahead. They toured the historic Gideon Owen Wine Company and booked Amy Simkus Photography shortly thereafter. They soon enlisted the support of Bee for the Day, an experienced and sought-after wedding planning service from Toledo, Ohio. The Bees’ team (Erin, Leah, and Meghan) helped to ensure no detail was forgotten at their church wedding with Gideon Owen reception.

The bride and groom envisioned a classic, romantic aesthetic for their special day. Breathtaking florals from The Flower Mercantile were designed with creamy whites, sage greens, and rose thistle accents.

The bride and bridesmaids prepared for the day at The Christy House, a stunning venue with lodging in Fremont, Ohio … and might I add, an INCREDIBLE place for pre-wedding photos! There, the bride stepped into a classic white satin gown with a train that went on for days. The guys met at the family’s church where the couple would say, “I do.”

There was rain for good luck on Meghan and Zach’s wedding day. However, the skies cleared just in time for portraits at the reception venue. The bride wow’ed guests with a gorgeous gown and hair change allowing her to SPARKLE through the remainder of the evening!

It was a memorable day for Meghan and Zach’s church wedding with Gideon Owen reception. Many congratulations to the happy couple!
