Their love story began early
McKenzie and Parker’s love story began early. They grew up together in the same hometown and started dating in high school together, At just 17 years old, Parker gave McKenzie a delicate necklace—a token of young love that she wore on their wedding day, 14 years later. Since meeting, the two have done life side by side. They attended the same college, supported each other through the challenges of higher education, and later worked in the same city—McKenzie pursuing a career in medical research, and Parker navigating the demands of medical school.
The Proposal
Their proposal story is just as heartfelt. What was supposed to be a warm spring day turned out to be a brisk, windy 50 degrees. During a lakeside walk, Parker pointed out a lighthouse and suggested they take a photo. As McKenzie turned, he dropped to one knee and proposed.
The Wedding at The Christy House
In a twist of beautiful irony, their wedding day brought those same strong winds. Perhaps, for McKenzie and Parker, the wind has become a symbol: a reminder that they can weather any storm together.
