Stunning Outdoor Wedding in Perrysburg, Ohio

June 19, 2021

Third time’s a charm! That’s the philosophy that Taylor and Mike went with in planning their stunning outdoor wedding in Perrysburg, Ohio. Not one … not two … but THREE different weddings dates were chosen after a couple of postponements due to the pandemic. So, they were bursting with excitement when they were finally able to walk down the aisle!

Meeting one another

Taylor and Mike were introduced to one another at work at the Toledo Municipal Court. His best man, Steve, recalled when Mike asked him to meet his new “running partner” … and quickly started putting two and two together when he realized that Taylor was a new special someone in Mike’s life. The two have been inseparable ever since, and have built a life together along with Mike’s two children. Mike proposed on Christmas Day which was a COMPLETE surprise to Taylor since he had always been adamant about that he would NEVER propose on a holiday! ☺️

It’s all coming together

Many things fell into place as Taylor and Mike were originally planning their wedding. Taylor’s friend, Ashley, is the owner of Beloved Bridal, a boutique in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Ashley had already pulled a dress for Taylor that she thought she would love, and it ended up being THE one! Taylor’s day spent at the boutique with her mom and bridesmaids was one of her favorite days ever!

Additionally, Taylor always knew she would use Bartz Viviano for her wedding flowers since she was good friends in high school with Frank Viviano, who currently runs the business with his wife Amanda. She loved being able to support a friend’s business and appreciated that Amanda has an impeccable eye and design style!

Taylor worked with a wedding planner, Brooke, at Forevermore Weddings, and that decision proved to be incredibly helpful while navigating a lot of challenges with the pandemic. Brooke and her team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to support Taylor and Mike after they made the difficult decision to postpone their wedding twice to help ensure the safety of the their guests. It was important to them to be able to celebrate with all those they hold close to their hearts, and they were so thankful that their vendors all came together to help their memorable wedding day experience come to reality!

The wedding day

The wedding ceremony was held outdoors on a hot, Saturday afternoon in June. Since they both worked at the courthouse, it seemed only fitting that they ask a Judge with whom they work to marry them. There was a threat of rain on their wedding day, but not one rain drop was to be felt from the moment they arrived at the venue at The Carranor Hunt and Polo Club in Perrysburg, Ohio! Instead, the sun came out producing an absolutely lovely glow for their wedding portraits!

Following their grand entrance at the reception, toasts were made by the Father of the Bride, the Best Man, and the Matron of Honor. A special toast was delivered via video by the bride’s Co-Matron of Honor, Christy, who resides in New Zealand and was unable to travel oversees. The Father of the Groom offered a blessing before a delectable meal was served, and then everyone hit the dance floor!

Taylor and Mike, seeing your wedding day come to fruition was a dream from start to finish. I know you had waited a LONG time to take your vows, and it was a special day to remember forever. I hope you love looking back at your day in photos for years to come. Remember your love today and always!

xoxo, Amy 💗
