Wedding at Pine Hill Sauers Farm
July 23, 2022
It was a celebration a long time in the making … three years, in fact! But it was a perfect day for Adelyn and Caleb’s outdoor wedding at Pine Hill Sauers Farm in Greenwich, Ohio.
Adelyn and Caleb were high school sweethearts. Eight years ago, Caleb “slid into her DM’s” on Twitter. Adelyn left him hanging for a few days, but eventually decided to message him back. Since then, their romance has lasted through their high school and college years, and now into their grown adult lives as they pursue their careers. They play golf together and are BIG Topgolf fans. They also love spending time with friends at some of their favorite breweries.
Caleb was ready to propose and led Adelyn on a thoughtful scavenger hunt. He incorporated all of their firsts: their first date, the first place where they worked out together, the first place they got ice cream together, their favorite coffee spot, etc. At each destination, there was a hint that led up to the final surprise. Addie was convinced she was getting a puppy. In reality, a blindfolded Addie found Caleb down on one knee. She said “yes”!!!
The wedding day began with some pretty impressive rain showers. There was talk about what to do if the weather didn’t shift. But as the bride and groom were finishing up with their preparations, the sun came out in full force! It was HOT that day … well into the 90-degree temperatures. But it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL for their outdoor wedding at Pine Hill Sauers Farm!
The outdoor ceremony continued as planned after the sun dried up all the rain. A custom arch built of wood from a building of Addie’s late grandfather was set in place where they would exchange vows. The bride and groom were dressed to the nines and wore perfume and cologne that will only be used for special events after their wedding. The ceremony was personal and meaningful. There was even a special appearance by their 9-week old bernedoodle, Remi who briefly came to wish her parents well on their special day! (So cute!!) 🐾🎀
The party continued with their family and friends … including many familiar faces from the Ashland University cheer team which I photographed a few years ago! It was surely a day they will always cherish, and I was so honored to be invited to be a part of it.
Many congratulations, Adelyn and Caleb!
